How to judge the brake failure of sprinkler

- Jul 19, 2019-

If your sprinkler brake failure, it can be judged from the following four aspects:

1. The engine runs at medium speed for about 6 minutes, observe the pressure of the cylinder, it should be 0.8 MPa. If the air pressure is insufficient, the air pressure does not drop significantly after the engine is out of operation, indicating that the fault is on the air compressor of the sprinkler.

2. The normal operation of the engine, no brake pedal, the air pressure in the cylinder does not rise, and after the engine stalls, the air pressure drops continuously, which shows that the pipeline of the air compressor to the control valve leaks.

3. If the air pressure in the cylinder of sprinkler truck reaches the standard and the pipeline does not leak, and the brake pedal is pressed, the air pressure drops rapidly and the sound of air leakage can be heard, then the pipeline and valve parts from the main brake valve to the brake chambers are damaged and leaked.

4. If there is no air leakage, and all the pipes and valves are normal, the free travel of sprinkler brake pedal, the clearance and damage of brake drum and friction disc should be checked.
