It is reported that an fuel tanker trailer overturned on the side of a road in northern Colombia on July 6. Instead of moving away from the overturned tanker, nearby residents scrambled with barrels to extract fuel. When gathering people to scramble for oil, the tanker burst into flames, dozens of people were instantly engulfed by the sea of fire. Seven people have been killed and nearly 70 injured. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital. Following the accident, Colombia's President called it a tragedy and called for an investigation into the cause.
